The activities found in Hands-On Interactive for Science and Technology (HOI) are based on current Canadian curriculum documents, and include games, virtual experiments, demonstrations, diagrams, and a variety of sensory-based lessons—for the entire school year! Each activity is classroom tested, student-friendly, pedagogically sound, and engaging for students. Students can work independently, in small groups, or as a whole-class on science concepts that are introduced, reinforced, or extended in this highly relevant, interactive learning format.
The HOI activities for Grade 4 are organized into four instructional units:
- Unit 1: Habitats and Communities
- Unit 2: Pulleys and Gears
- Unit 3: Understanding Matter and Energy
